Since I don’t have a motorcycle license, I went with the Chauffeured Passenger Tour. A very experienced, seriously fun, professional Harley Davidson driver, Terry Divot James, picked me up right in front of my hotel on a gorgeous blue bike. He then helped me into a Harley leather-Jacket and helmet and instructed me on what to do and not do. For the first few minutes I was a bit nervous, clinging onto Terry for dear life. But, ever to quickly I became confident that I was in great hands. No longer afraid, I relaxed my clinched legs and arms strangling poor Terry and soaked up the magnificent beauty of New Zealand from the passenger seat of Terry’s bike. He drove me all around Auckland, from the beaches and renowned sights, to the top of the city to see the spectacular views.
It was both surreal and exciting feeling the wind blowing through my hair while zipping through this city where I had never been before. This was without a doubt the way to experience New Zealand. The breeze, the smells, the weather, the people, the sights and the electrifying speed were beyond memorable. I simply loved, loved, loved, everything about this most thrilling chauffeured passenger tour. Whizzing around the amazing roads of Auckland with charming Terry on a Bularangi Motorbikes was exhilarating.
