When in the bustling, action-filled, wild and fun city of Las Vegas, it is so nice to just take a break, relax, and enter into a world of comfortable, warm, rich, elegance and enjoy an outstanding dining experience! The moment you step into the Luxor Steakhouse at the Luxor Hotel and Casino, with its lovely rich deep cherry-wood décor and elegantly appointed tables and leather booths, you immediately know that you are in for something special. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner for two, a business dinner, a dinner before one of the Luxor’s outstanding shows, or just a charming setting to share superb food with your family and friends, you have found the perfect spot!
I had the good fortune to have my servers Juan, Gary and Sergio hold my hand and help me to order my dinner. However, there are so many wonderful selections on the menu that it is actually impossible to go wrong with anything you choose! If I may, let me give you some suggestions to take with you.
If you are a caviar lover, the Russian Oscetra Caviar is divine. The seafood sampler is lovely and served cold and fresh. The fresh Oysters on the half shell are an oyster lover’s candy. If you are in the mood for a hot appetizer, then go ahead and try their tasty Grilled Hawaiian Blue Prawns. For those not so fond of seafood, I recommend the Charcuterie Antipasto Platter. All of the salads are yummy so simply choose YOUR favorite! Moving on to the entrees, the Kobe steak selections are absolutely to die for. They are tender, succulent, and rich, with a heavenly taste. You can cut them with a fork. If you select the Porterhouse for two, you will be tempted to pick it up and eat off the bone. DON’T! I REPEAT, DON’T! My guest tried to do just that, and I am still embarrassed just thinking about it. Better idea yet…Take it back to your room AND GO WILD IN PRIVATE! All the aged beef selections are fantastic as well, if you don’t fancy the Kobe (but how is that possible). In addition, there is a beautiful selection of accompaniments to try on your steak. If beef isn’t your preference, the seafood entrees such as lobster tails, Maine Lobster, Alaskan King Crab Legs and the Seasonal Fisherman’s Catch of the Day are all outstanding. You can choose from the vast selections of wonderful wines from the wine menu to accompany your meal.
You must save room for the fabulous desserts. Oh my, I can still taste the chocolate stack. YUM! You can also try the classic crème brulee or the roasted pineapple with lemon curd cake.
