They don’t make people like Mark Lewis anymore. One thing I most stress is what Mark always ALWAYS used to tell me is HOW to KEEP HIS vision of Rock Over America Magazine alive. I will do my best to honor Mark Lewis. I promised him I would !

Mark Lewis was a good soul, who was more than just the founder or Rock Over America Magazine. There was never a day where he didn’t ask you about how you were doing and really wanted to know.

Mark Believed In The Honesty And Dignity Of The Music That We Call Rock And Roll

I have had the privilege of calling Mark Lewis not just my business partner but my friend for the last 3 years. It’s an incredible honor that Mark Lewis offered me in 2017. He asked me to become his business partner for Rock Over America Magazine. I started in 2007 editing some of the articles in Rockoveramerica.com. I was working with Robin Roth, who is one of ROA’s first writers for the magazine. With Robin Roth’s referral, Mark asked me to join rockoveramerica.com as an editor in 2014. I came to know Mark mostly by editing all his audio interviews with some of the most amazing recording artists this world will ever know.

“His interviews are like plunging into a time piece and hearing the stories from the artists that invented the soundtracks to your personal memories that live in your soul. To this day I think his interviews are some of the best produced. They are not about the market, industry or brands- they are road stories about talented people working together and the process that lead them to create these pieces of the most beautiful, creative and inventive musical masterpieces.” (-For the record – I am not a writer I am a editor and now own my own magazine. So, forgive me if you find this offensive or impossible to understand. lol-)

Kelly Schreck and I met up with Mark Lewis at Bob Taylors in Las Vegas. We listened to many road stories that Mark shared with the both of us. Mark was battling cancer and he never complained. He did mention he can’t go out often. We met up another time with him at Vamps in Las Vegas.

There was a time when, as most of you know, Kelly Schreck passed away in August 2017, which was very difficult to get through. So, when Mark found out that Kelly Schreck had passed, he made sure that I had anything I needed to take care of everything.

Without his care and consideration, I don’t think we would have made it through what was going on. No, Mark Lewis was not the kind of business partner who saw his friends and associates hurting, and just let them suffer. In Mark, we had a friend and I know I will miss him greatly.

As editor and revamping the old rockoveramerica.com I spent several hours on the phone with Mark, and he told me many stories. He has a wife and child he lost that are in heaven, and now with him. I am so blessed to have met him and become his friend. He is the older brother I adore. I know now he is at peace, and he is reunited with his family. He will be missed by many people.

In 2017 when Mark asked me to become 45 percent partner of rockoveramerica.com which I accepted he included in this document stating in the event of his passing that I am to recieve all of his percent of the magazine. I am honored to aquire his legacy and respectfully accepted.

They don’t make people like Mark Lewis anymore. One thing I most stress is what Mark always ALWAYS used to tell me is HOW to KEEP HIS vision of Rock Over America Magazine alive. ABOVE ALL : MAINTAINING THE HONESTY AND DIGNITY OF THE MUSIC.  Mark believed in the music we call rock and roll. His vision excedes the industry standards and branding. His vision was based entirely on the love for the music in all aspects from the creators and the process. I will do my best to honor Mark Lewis. I promised him I would.
